The Weather Channel is amazing! 1st they run off all "non-believers", then they decide to start naming Cold Fronts in Winter time, now I guess they've taken it upon themselves to rename the Cape Verde Islands!

No kidding. We did turn them on for a little while to see if we could see the full scope of the storm, but really we watched for a few minutes. And for the record, it is not lost on me that Florida is also getting hammered by rain and flooding from the back side of Harvey. I have to deal with it in a professional capacity, and it was very clear to us that Florida is experiencing a lot of issues, too, and they will probably take another hit from Ivan.
I am not minimizing the devastation of Houston, just noticing that Florida has its hands full.

I'm in Ft. Walton Bch., near Destin. getting rain but it's not bad. Was a flash flood warning yesterday, no problems here.

I was looking at one map during Harvey, and it showed Texas, then Louisiana, then Alabama. Totally missed Mississippi. That's something even a Georger would know.

But it was just the dumbest thing.
The newest storm has flattened PR for the most part. Nobody cares because we are compassion weary from Harvey and Irma. Aa little balance from the media would help.
