Laurel County deputies are still trying to figure out what lead to a shooting Saturday night that left two people dead. It happened on Nature's Bend Lane just before 10 p.m.
Truth is stranger then fiction. A 29 year old male shoots and kills his girlfriend, the mother of his 3-year-old daughter. But the story gets even stranger, when the father shoots his own son.
There is a lot we may not understand in this world, but I think we can follow the logic here. And if I could be so bold to say I believe the 29 year old male still would have killed his girlfriend even if all he had was his bare hands. But would he have been stopped if his father was also weaponless? Would the daughter have been next? Thankfully we did not find out because a father was willing to shoot his son when he needed too.
