After watching what others call looting, I see it as a pre-black Friday free shopping spree.
On the bright side I even notice the police station across from me had up to 3 National Guards hummers in there parking lot. With the Jersey walls limiting access to there parking lot.

This is not protesting, it is theft, arson, and vandalism. I can't see that it benefits anyone, and will make both sides less inclined to listen.

~chuckle~ Near Downtown St. Louis. Or about 13 miles from Ferguson. The peaceful protests hit Ferguson starting on the day of the shooting. Ferguson is like a suburb of St. Louis. There has been talk for years about taking in all the little towns into St. Louis due mostly to how corrupt the government is in the smaller towns. In fact mail would get there using St. Louis as the city as long as all else is correct. And yes, there are many small towns inside the St. Louis city limits. When you hear Clayton brought up, that is because Clayton is where the county courts are at. The city of St. Louis has its own courts. So it can get confusing at times.
So I can say from the day of the shooting there were conflicting from day one. Meaning this issue will never be settle. Now (any bets?) there will be a wrongful death suit. And, of course, lets not forget the officer can still be brought up on this again if the government finds any faults in how this was done the first time.
Walmart and Kmart both said they will close the local stores after the first of the year. Another company has pulled the factory they were going to build here.
Right behind the road where the fires were are homes, the smoke force out some of the home owners.
Every cop in Ferguson (and there wife's) have received death threats.
Sure I make light of the looting by calling it shopping. But if you ever looked at the buildings looted but not burned you will notice it is only selected items being taken. Such as the hair weaves. After all you do the fire to cover up what was taken.
The closest protest to me was about 2 miles away when the St. Louis city hall was the seance of the protest.
Even some of the malls have the peaceful protesters in them. And lets not forget the blocking of the interstates. ~sigh~ Yes, it is all a mess.

Oh, and not all the news is bad. A white own (gas/convenience store) was protected by some local blacks. Funny most knew the owner because they worked for him in there younger days.

www.kmov.com/news/local/Pregnant-woman-loses-left-eye-during-protests--284108551.htmlAnd life goes on. Her sister agrees it happen because of the behavior of other people. Like when it comes to the point where police fire a bean-bag at a crowed they have a choice of where and what it hits. Do I feel bad for her, of course I do. But I am sure there is more to the story since she waited till to report this what chance is there of finding witness who do not dislike cops?

I don't care what anyone says, Michael Brown is not an icon or martyr.

In some of the photos Wilson looks rather young & old in others, rather odd.

He's still not an icon or martyr.
I think this is so strange. I have never been in trouble with the police or accused of anything. People act like cops are always out to maim and kill. I really do not think police drive down the street looking for trouble.

I really do not think police drive down the street looking for trouble. There's probably some that do the Power Trip thing. Hard to believe that the NYPD cop uses a banned choke hold resulting in a death & no charges of any type.

That's a different story. Even if there was more to the story, if the man was a problem, act according to the law and do something about it. Don't stand there on the sidewalk and squeeze the life out of him with your bare hands. What a disgrace.
This is what happens when a government kills people over taxes. Body cams, not withstanding.
I do not get it.
