www.wral.com/news/state/nccapitol/video/9982045/#/vid9982045Just what is "fair share" when it comes to the question of taxes? I see it as everyone paying the same % of taxes no matter your income. Should there be tax breaks? I get a tax break on my home loan, others get a tax break for investing in a business. If we cut out one should we not cut out the other? After all, a tax break is a tax break. And yes, this should include the earn income credit. In the video above it is about a small protest group who wants the government to make business to "pay there fair share" along with not reducing the "perks" the common person gets. I question if anyone really knows where the "perks" they get come from other then the government. Have they sat down and really out just how much of there taxes go for big business vs the welfare cheats. Along the same lines, since they brought up the TVA, just how much did the TVA really help during the depression? Just where did the money the government spend come from? To many details are always left out, or are confusing when you use percentages vs cost.

Businesses don't pay taxes, they collect them from taxpayers & send it to the Govt, unless the Corp. is losing money, if it is them they keep the money.

I think people should be able to deduct mortgage interest on the house they live in, and that's all. I have friends who own a condo plus some apartments. They collect rent AND deduct the interest on the loans. Totally unfair.
And don't get me started on Social Security. I get taxed on ALL my income. Rich people do not. How fair is that? Pay up, people.
These are two things that are fair. It does not raise tax rates on the rich, but it does make sure they are not using tax dollars to benefit from their larger income.

If all of the Rich's income is taxed, then they should collect in proper proportion to their payments. The real answer is The Fair Tax. No business or income taxes, just a Fed. sales tax.

I am not in favor of a National Sales Tax. I am in favor of a Flat Tax.
