The WG forum is wondering why user notes are boring. Maybe it's because of all of Hank's stupid rules?

The WG forum is wondering why user notes are boring. Maybe it's because of all of Hank's stupid rules? You know, people can think that if they want. I'm happy when someone take time to re-enter my bills. I don't expect them to make it an exercise in creative writing. |

Of course some of the fun has been permanently extinguished by Mr. Anal Control Freak. But I guess that tends to happen whenever you get used to having everything just the way you want it, and then people start crossing that imaginary frontier in the name of creativity.
I just try to make my user notes as long as possible, when time permits.
And I get disappointed whenever I don't get a user note on a hit ... especially so when it's a seasoned georger who hits one of my bills. Why is that?!? Do they not get the concept? Or are they just so "busy" they can't be bothered? Borders on anti-social behavior if you ask me.
I just think it's hilarious that the site went from people having all sorts of graphics (weather, bill counters, horoscopes, etc. ), notes, semi-blogging, quotations, you name it. Then all of the sudden NOTHING (OK ... Almost nothing) is allowed to sully the "family friendly, politics-free, religion-free" (but not sex-free behind the scenes) appearance of "Where's My OCD-Challenged George Sans Any Color About Who We Are Or What We Do?"
It's all gooooooooooood .........
