This "man" kept his/her uterus and the rest of the female running gear, so it's entirely possible that (s)he is pregnant again.
For no other reason than "Hey! Notice Me!!"

I was talking with my nephew's girlfriend yesterday about this, and she somehow was led to believe, through media reports and OPRAH, that this was somehow a medical miracle. After I told her the facts, she went from wondrous awe to repulsion.
Strange how a few facts can change someone's outlook, huh?

Appalling news. How many misguided souls think, " What an age we live in? Medical miracles like this are amazing."
The pregnant man is a woman, not even she would deny this. I'm sure the Oprah Dopras are thrilled.
Fast forward ten years. How well adjusted will these children be. How will they handle the taunts and teasing from their peers? D T

Half the story isn't the whole truth.
That's what people are getting...half the story. They hear "pregnant man" and their eyes glaze over and don't pay attention to the real story.

What bothers me most is this person wants to be considered a man yet is doing only what a woman can do.
I can see wanting to be the one to carry the baby the first time. But why not let you partner carry the second one?
This is a story I am bored with, and Barbara Walters even seemed to be speechless when she interviewed him/her.

I'd seen a couple references to this, but hadn't actually seen any stories or done any digging. I figured there had to be something more to it.
Thanks for the heads up.

Every story I seen on this "pregnant man" including when he appeared on oprah, it was made clear that he was once a woman and had an operation....the problem with those misled people is that they lack the ability to pay attention to the whole story

The problem is with all this hypersensitive PC crap, and that any reports even mention a "pregnant man". There is no "pregnant man", there is a "pregnant woman who's had some surgery to compensate for some mental disease, and is catered to by a liberal, sensation-seeking media".

you're absolutely right, the heshe had the surgery because the media told her to do it....you'll have to do better than that

The media, including Oprah, know the short attention span of its readers and viewers. They can't see past the headline.

As if conservative, sensation-making media don't jump all over a story like the "pregnant man" for their own purposes as well! If it's such a non-issue (which I actually have to agree it is in a way) then why such the hoopla by conservatives too? Conservative pundits give as much credence to these non-issues as the "liberal sensation-seeking media". Heck, I hadn't even hear about the new pregnancy until I got to this site.

you're absolutely right, the heshe had the surgery because the media told her to do it....you'll have to do better than that More lack of the ability to comprehend the story. Scott didn't say that the heshe or shim had the surgery because the media told him/her/it too, Scott said that heshe got the surgery as a result of mental illness. He just said that the media caters to this person for a sensationalistic story that would sell papers.
