"Basic Economics" Thomas Sowell
I pick up a little more every time I read it. Many current politicians should be made to read it.
"The American Presidents" David Whitney A good primer for Presidential biography.
Presidential history was a major area of study in college. That's why I get a chuckle when liberals say "worst President ever". It show their complete ignorance.
"A Short History of Nearly Everything" Bill Bryson Science history for advanced idiots.

I'm adding The American Presidents to my reading list. And after starting A People's History of the Supreme Court, I'm adding A People's History of the United States (Howard Zinn) to the list as well.

There are three books that I have reread - mainly for school:
A Farewell to Arms - Ernest Hemingway
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
The Odessy - Homer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would recommend all of these books to be read by both genders.
Since I'm partially deaf until my ear infection heals, I've been doing a lot more reading.
I'm currently re-reading "The Creature from Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffin.
It's written from the point of view of a conspiracy theorist, yet it's a good read. It will make you think.
