Columbia prof says Prop 8 adds to gay health woes
Maybe I just do not get it, I knew homosexuals while in school. At that point they knew marriage was not going to happen for them any time soon. IN fact, a few felt that marriage was an institution which had outlived its usefulness.
The California's domestic partnership law. Shows where giving an inch on your personal values, and they will take a mile has come into effect. What started out as a means to received the sharing of your personal life with another has turned (almost) into a civil union. While I see no harm in that, I find it strange that even when "rights" are granted to a small group of people, they just want to upset others, maybe on the grounds that you dislike my lifestyle, therefore I am going to do all I can to mock yours.
Why all this fuss just to call same sex couples married is beyond me. Marriage when I was growing up was between a man and a woman. In some places it was between a man and more then one woman. But that was still within the local community standers. Why this haste to change the change others peoples views?
