OK ... So a palace revolt it is.
Here's a thread to discuss what you're reading in the category of Fiction.
My brother actually refuses to read ANYTHING of fiction. Says he can't read about something that's not true or that didn't happen. He's "stuck on" history for some reason.
I just read it because I find it entertaining, and not so much the chore that historical tomes can SOMETIMES be.

Set in post-WWII (immediate post-WWII) Berllin. A mystery/spy-type novel about the U.S.-Soviet race to capture, process, and appropriate the best scientific minds from the collapsed Third Reich.
Murder (of course), intrigue, boy gets girl, a look at the "science implications" of Nazi dehumanization of those they despised, and how did the Allies - particularly the U.S. - get around the wholesale de-Nazification requirements following the war.
Interesting setting in that it gives insight into what Berlin was like in the months immediately following the end.
Not a National Book Club quality read ... but entertaining nonetheless.
And I got it off the discount racks at Barnes & Noble.

I'm over half way though this book and it is a fun read. I'm actually surprised by the things I write down out of this book. There is some good advice and thoughts in it.
It hasn't been one of those books that I just can't put down, but it is a fun read. Also has a song just for the book. It is a fun listen.
