I think he makes a valid point.
No, Americans don't want to pay MORE taxes. Resistance to taxation is in our collective bloodstream, from the Stamp Act, to the Whiskey Rebellion, to the modern day tea party protests (incidentally begun in modern form by Ron Paul supporters in 2007 -- you're welcome).
However, we as Americans have come to enjoy our interstate highway system and our federal student aid programs for college.
It's not the fact that we're paying taxes so much as it is the fact that we've been paying so many taxes (and fees and surcharges, etc) and seem to be getting little in return. The government has sunk $billions into Chrysler, for example, and it was nothing short of a black hole. The money literally went nowhere to nothing, and now the company is bankrupt. Meanwhile, the American standard of living continues to decline, and the Americans of today have less faith than in quite a long time that their children will have better lives than they had.

he, he.............. so much for the "Big Tent" policy. Joe The General does not like the Big Tent. He hasn't embraced the platform or endorsed the candidates. His political contribution to Republicans is negligible at best.

It was a great investment for the Marxists! And they got the Taxpayers to foot the bill! All those idiots that voted Obama should be really excited! Obama liquidated the legal owners & the Govt & Workers took over, Marxism at its best. As far as delcine of living standards & crushed hopes & dreams, that's SOP for the Socialist/Marxists.
