It's funny how people can be about freedom and personal choices until their freedom comes against someone else's freedom not to agree.

Freedom, personal choices. Some of this comes about on how/why you see marriage.
Such as seeing it between a man and a woman. That was the normal outlook on it. At lest it was when I was born. A child with only one parent was shun in many cases by two parent family's. Of course we remember what we see as kids, we learn and accept many things we learn as kids without really understanding why.
When we asked as kids, we were told marriage was because two people loved each other and wanted to tell the world they wanted to live as one.
But I believed there was a deeper truth to it. Marriage is a way for a couple to have and share a kid. Back in a time when childbirth was limited to natural birth. Back when it took a man and a woman to created life. And a wiliness to tell the world that as a married couple you were willing to raise, to teach, to protect any off spring of such a union.
As always something is missing in trying to find and understand the true meaning for a marriage.
Which also means you can not put your finger on just what seem wrong bout same sex marriage. Maybe it is due to not being able to have children in a natural way. Maybe something we were taught or red as a child. I do not know for sure.
But no matter how I feel, I agree forcing someone to accept what you believe by preforming services you feel is wrong is very wrong. While the person trying to force the view on you, is taking away your freedom to have your view.
What you can not force nature to do, you can force man to do. Such as giving a child to two men.
