Obama Gets Voters' Message: It's Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
I disagree, the message was stop trying to make us accept programs which do not help the American people. To stop wasting money.
In the link, Obama and his top aides huddled with each other and Capitol Hill allies throughout Wednesday to plot how to rescue the health care legislation and to start mapping a way forward leading into this fall's midterm congressional elections.
Their conclusion was that the economy — jobs specifically and the broader topics of the nation's fiscal and financial health — must be priority No. 1.
"If the dominant message isn't about jobs and spending, we'll be making a difficult challenge exponentially more difficult," Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., said. it is said he still wants his health care. However, they do see that does not need to be the priority but that jobs (Which the government can not created except with out tax dollars, and will need to be paid back) should be the top of the list. Then comes the nation's fiscal and financial health. Which can not be created by spending money we do not have. But, if the government would tighten its own belt. Then reduce taxes, or go back to tax breaks for business then perhaps more business would start hiring again. After all, if you reduce taxes on the people, then the people would have more money to spend. Even if the spending is just on bills, they keeps some people employee. And they, in turn, will also need services. Which will keep others employee.
Then, before you know it, all the people who are willing, or want to work will again be working.
Sadly, the odds are he will take some of the unused stimulus money and "created" jobs which are short term, or not jobs which are needed. {sigh}
If that happens, then he did not learn his lesson well and the next election will be one sided in the other direction. Which also would not be good for the people of America.
