What we need is more staunch conservatives in power to stand up Any staunch conservative who stands up does so at the peril of being run out of the Republican Party. Perhaps we should start a letter writing campaign to the RNC, to ask them to approach the Democrats on the prospects of merging the two parties. Then maybe we can get a real opposition party to fill the void.
