Take a pill, jon. It's a joke about atheist, for God's sake. you know where to put that pill, Mike, make a joke about religion and it's an attack, make a joke on athiests and we aren't allowed to respond? typical hypocrisy. I don't see you telling Brad to take a pill, he's all upset that Joe has mentioned a news article which he perceives as an attack on Christianity. the article I read said there were parishioners of this guy relieved that it was just a woman His was a joke yours was a name calling attack on my Bible. Wether you agree with it or not it is still the Bible not sopme fantasy book.

I'm not sure why this particular thread was selected to be moved out of the General Forum. It has not been a religious discussion or a discussion about a religious issue. Look at the posts. This has been more of a gossip item.
If this thread should have been moved, then all the ones about the environment, the judiciary, foreign policy, economics, and the president need to be moved to their proper forums.
That would actually be helpful because then it would be easier to find the posts I'm interested in.

Sometimes it will fit in more then one place. At other times it will fit nowhere since this is mainly a form about our government. With that being the case, since this thread is about a Catholic Priest no matter what it has developed into. Where do you feel the most likely place it should be? Not that it really matters that much, we are more like a family group. We already (thanks to WG) know what we expect out friends to say. And no matter how they say it we also understand some of there frustrations in saying it.

At least this (former) catholic preist quit because he wants to have a relationship with a grown, warm-blooded, adult women and not a little boy. Joe Baseless attack, asserting that all Catholic priests are pedophiles (obviously not true). Why is this a story? If the priest could not keep his vow (the priesthood is totally voluntary, as is the vow of celibacy, mind you), he could have, should have, and did, simply quit. Why is this a story, and why, Joey, do you take the opportunity to bash the Church and Christianity? 1) Ask Yahoo!/AP "why this is a story", they reported it, I just passed it on. 2) I do not bash; I just make people aware of little "human interest" stories like this one. I mean, I was actually giving catholic priests props, one of them ACTUALLY likes and can love a fully grown mature woman, one of the most basic human male needs after water and food. Joe

This one was treated differently, especially since there is the thread in General about the RC in Ireland protecting pedophiles Joey put up last week or the week before. Same thing, different, um, victim.

Ok, lets keep playing. I've never met anyone so obsessed with people obsessed with "fairy tales." Me and millions of others like me beat off the GWB attempt to impose Christian Theocracy on the US in the early 00s. Only by bringing up and discussing the general hypocrisy of Modern Organized Religion (and its more insidious parts) did we do this. Joe

Try the other ones. Did I say you COULDN'T respond?!? I just inferred that you sound a bit silly responding THE WAY you did to a really good joke about a hypothetical person in a hypothetical situation. P.S. I swallow my pills. I can't imagine WHAT you're doing with yours.

At least he had the cajomies to "man up" (in more ways than one ) and admit the lie he was living. Joe
